Track One
27/11/2009
With clubbers hunting for something new and fresh, it is often hard to differentiate one night from another. Too many DJs, dozens of clubs, an array of nights. At Track One, we want to offer our crowd something inspiring. On the face of it, we are similar to a lot of other things going on in the London clubscene – a cool little venue in the heart of Shoreditch, keen to pull in fresh and forward thinking promoters, attracting a crowd of clued up and sassy music lovers. But what sets us aside from the rest is the exceptional and virtuoso DJ line ups. Line ups like these are sought with a deep and ingrained knowledge of the electronic music industry, pulling in DJs that are true artists in their field. The result is an exciting and eclectic mix of some of the most interesting music around.

Hector is rapidly establishing himself as one of the most exciting young producers on the planet, effortlessly balancing his will to experiment with commitment to the founding spirit of house. Mixing up styles and moods but always focused firmly on the dance-floor’s needs and desires, Hector’s selections nod to house music’s past but engage fully with its future; his sets have energy, precision and soul. Hector is well versed in the London club scene, having received a lot of recognition for his techy and fast moving sets at Kubicle, and again at London’s T Bar. His career has taken a big leap forward since his signing to Mobilee Records, and is still a face behind the counter at Phonica in Soho.

When Shoreditch was still being put on the map, Bones – then DJ duo Bones and Ramsey - had established MACHINE, a night which was so different and dirty, that clubbers felt like they were on the brink of society. The success of this party and “DITCHED DISCO” @ London’s T Bar, led to gigs in Ibiza, including @ We love Sundays at Space, and others at Amnesia, Privilege and Pacha. His productions have included working on remixes from Hot Chip & UNKLE, and his Black Rabbit EP 1 is out now.

Sonogama, aka Ayoze Chico and Ollie Mendez, are long standing friends with a lot of studio time behind them, which led them to launching a new project designed to get their music out to a wider audience. Their productions are deep, techy and hypnotic, the first of which is a remix of the Botlzmann & Ørsted "In Deep Shit" which is out on Sounderground records.

The night will be topped off with residents Jasmine and Nick Maleedy. Nick’s passion and knowledge of music is second to none, with his tracks melting effortlessly into one another, creating a warm housey vibe which the crowd can’t help but dance to. This is a guy that has a lot to offer, ‘up-and-coming’, off the back of an amazing tour in South Africa with Ralf Kollman of Mobilee Records.

Lineup:
HECTOR (Mobilee)
